I have a profound love for animals and capturing their personalities is one of my favorite challenges. It is an honor to be tasked with painting your pet(s) and I will put my utmost care into a hand-painted work of art created just for you.

    HOW IT WORKS

    THE PROCESS

    SELECT PORTRAIT SIZE


    • All pet paintings larger than 5” x 7”are done in acrylics on a gallery-wrapped canvas. 
    • 5” x 7” portraits are done on canvas panel and come with a small easel for display. Framing is not included.
    • See size choices and pricing. If you want more than one pet in a photo, please contact me for additional pricing. 


    PHOTOS OF YOUR PET


    Email me a few photos of your pet. Better reference photos do translate to superior pet portraits! With that in mind:


    • Shoot from your pet's eye level by sitting or lying on the floor. Try not to take the photo from above your pet or below. These photos tend to not work in portraits. Side angles are fine.
    • Try to use natural lighting, either outside or indoors near a window. Avoid flash.
    • The eyes are important. Get close to your pet and focus on the eyes.


    I will contact you via email if I have any questions about your order details. 


    PROOFING

     

    Once I have the first layer of paint on, I will send you the rough draft before moving forward to be sure we're on the same page. When the painting is completed, I will email you a digital proof of the final painting for your approval at which point I will work on any requested small changes until you are 100% happy with the painting. Upon your final approval, I will ship the painting to you.


    TURNAROUND TIMES


    From May – October, turnaround time is typically 2 weeks.  

    November – April may take longer, depending on my workload during art festival season.
