When my brother was very young, he had an exceptional amount of energy, and my mother was often at a loss as to how to harness that energy.  One day, she came home with a little Styrofoam surfboard for him, and it changed his life.  He found his way on a surfboard and as he grew, the surfboards got larger, and he became a master at riding waves.  The water calmed my brother and gave him more confidence to navigate life, much like the waves he rode on.
