Mornings at the beach are always inviting, especially when the sun creates dramatic shadows. I love the dark and light contrast and wanted to capture the feel of the morning sun. Often when I am on a beach walk, I am caught up in my thoughts and miss the nuances of my surroundings. I wanted this painting to pull the viewer in to study the shadows and feel the sun as it starts the day.
