As part of a new series, I am painting birds and naming them after a favorite artist and one of my favorite places. Mary Cassatt was a beautiful artist who painted scenes of mothers with their children, among other subjects. I named this beautiful, watchful bird after her and placed her in gorgeous Cedar Key.
