I’m drawn to empty boats, both on land and water. Just like an empty chair at the beach, it leaves a sense of wonder and I can weave a story in my mind about what might be happening. My father used to paint boats during his artistic career and this piece was inspired by his work. I added the splash of red on the boat because my father was so colorful.
