I wanted this painting to have a carefree feeling of coastal life. The stack of surfboards suggests a sense of adventure, along with the timeless vintage VW bus. It’s a reminder to sometimes trade our busy schedules for salt air, where the only agenda is catching waves and soaking up the sun. My goal was to combine whimsy with nostalgia, celebrating the joy of chasing simple pleasures at the beach.
