I often go on mini photo excursions where I grab my camera and spend the day driving around gathering inspiration. My most memorable photo shoot is from many years ago when I had 3 children still under roof. My husband knew I needed some time to myself so he offered to keep watch at home while I spent a long weekend in Nantucket. What a gift that was! I booked my room, borrowed a bicycle and spent the weekend riding around the island by myself. I gathered so much beautiful reference that I am still, to this day, getting ideas from those photos. I’ll never forget my island ride!
