Poppy Love III is part of a triptych, I was inspired to paint after my daughter announced that she is expecting another baby. When my first grandchild was born, I painted “Happiness”, a large, colorful poppy painting. I wanted to do something similar this time. I have always associated poppies with cheerfulness and joy and when I study them, their petals are often unfurling, as if they are open to all possibilities. After my daughter shared her news, I was secretly hoping for a little girl, so I went with all pink flowers. My wish came true! Our granddaughter arrived in April, 2026!
